Ysgol Pontfadog

It is almost 100 years since our school was built and we are planning the celebrations now. Key among them will be a book about the history of the school based on the memories of past pupils and teachers and a tapestry made by pupils, parents, staff, and past pupils and their parents. Today we have just 46 pupils and as always the children have the incredible benefit of a small school community atmosphere. But in the past, when there were evacuees posted in the Ceiriog Valley, numbers went right up to over 100 all squeezed into the old school building.
We want to hear from any of you who have memories of the school, from way back or just the other day, for the book, but also to make this website interesting—so please contact us, the sooner the better! We will post as much as we can here on the web.
Our 2008 Centenary Celebration will be on Saturday, 28th June and we invite as many past pupils and staff as can to join us for the children’s concert and the school fete. Links to local accommodation will appear on this website as we get going.
